Content of the piece aside, I’m perplexed by the litisgunic tone of the article. What age group is it aimed at? I haven’t “talked down” to my kids with that sort of language since they were toddlers. Is this really how teachers talk to kids in schools? The “voice” in the article sounds like the writer it talking to someone they think is intellectually vacuous.Yet another reason I’m glad my kids have never darkened the door of a school. 😛
