the five mile grace – a matthew miller photography joint bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

It started and ended very quickly. I took a photography course my junior year at North Gwinnett High school. 2 weeks later I was kicked out, and thats what I thought would the end of my interest of photography. Anyhow, many years later I found myself embarking on my first tour out of the country to Europe with my band ,Most Precious Blood, and for the trip, my mother bought me my first digital camera.I wanted to document every part of the journey(little did i know that i would tour europe a total of five times in the coming years).

Its been almost 6 years since that tour. I have traveled all over the US more times than I can remember.I've been overseas to Brazil, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and all over Europe. Now I've dropped anchor after living in Brooklyn NY and doing the band full time, I bought a house with my lovely lady(and amazing tattooer) Danielle. We have two midget vegan pitbull puppies named Trainwreck and Justice. We just bought a beautiful home in East Atlanta Georgia. Life is really looking good these days.

I created this blog to show the kind of Photography that I have been doing recently, and also to have a platform to show what is going on in my life. I am available for hire when im not working with the best damn wedding photographers in Atlanta at OUR LABOR OF LOVE. Please get in touch or leave me a comment if you like what you see, or you want to set up a shoot.

the Kercz wedding in AUSTRALIA!!!

Words cant even come close to how rad it was to be in Australia for my main man Colin’s wedding. It was such a perfect day in Tamworth. Friends from all over the states, egypt, and australia converged to the land of the BIG GOLDEN GUITAR and joined with Colin and Sonja in their wedding day. The wedding was super laid back, there was no dancing , just alot of hanging out and catching up with old friends and celebrating life. Thanks so much to Sonja and Colin for having me along for the ride!

the engagement shoot on the moon…

Our good friends (and old roomates in Brooklyn!) Erin and Chad came to Atlanta to visit, and since i am shooting their wedding in June, we figured it would be awesome if we did and engagement shoot while they were in town. Erin used to live in Ga a long time ago and always remembered visiting stone mountain as a kid, so we thought that it would be perfect to do the photos there. The day we chose to shoot was probably the foggiest day ive ever seen in atlanta. when we arrived at the mountain, you couldnt even see the top. But the fog made for some incredible photos and im so glad that we shot up there. Congrads to Erin and Chad!!!!!!

on the ride up- it was too foggy to climb so we took the SKYRIDE!

Chloe just loves those leaves!

Its truly stunning that ive done 2 shoots that were a mile from where i grew up, and i didnt even know it. Either im getting too old and im forgetting where i am, or things have changed so much where i used to call home that i cant even recognize them anymore. Either way, there is a new park down the road from my parents old house that is so perfect to soak in all the fall colors and provide and awesome atmosphere and backdrop to take photos of my friend Amy’s lovely daughter, Chloe. It was such a good time catching up with amy and chasing chloe all over the park.
